New forays into 'functional' felt pieces

Lately, I have been experimenting with felt resist techniques, in an effort to create one-of-a-kind flower vases.  Here are my most recent results:

Spring Time Experiments...and works in progress!

For the last little while, I have been exploring was to create a production line of elegant felted jewelry.  I have a number of pieces (pictured below) that show promise, but this is my most successful piece to date:



This is a collaborative project with felt pieces I made and a flame-worked glass leaf pendant created by Melody Jewitt of Flo Glassblowing Studio and Boutique.

The remaining pieces pictured below are unfinished sets of earrings and pendants.  To complete them, I plan to embellish these too, both with glass and metal elements.

Easter Treats

With spring finally in the air and Easter around the corner, I was inspired to create a different kind of Easter egg basket.  After a visit to blumenstudio (http://www.blumenstudio.ca/) in Ottawa's artsy Hintonberg neighborhood where I found the cutest quail eggs, I set to work.  Here are the results of my efforts:
